This 1967 Plymouth Barracuda hardtop is finished in orange over black vinyl upholstery and powered by a replacement 360ci V8 linked to a 904 TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission and a 3.55:1 limited-slip differential. Features include power steering, power front disc brakes, 15″ Cragar wheels, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, electronic ignition, air conditioning, a center console, and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The car is said to have spent time in California before being acquired by the seller in February 2022. Work in May 2023 consisted of replacing the steering box, power-steering pump, and starter solenoid as well as recharging the air conditioning. This notchback Barracuda is now offered with spare parts, service records from current ownership, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Buffed Silver Metallic (AA1) and was repainted in its current shade of orange under prior ownership. Features include chrome bumpers and mirrors, a flip-up fuel door, and a dual exhaust system with polished rectangular finishers. There are chips in the paint on the front of the car, both taillamps are cracked, and the chrome bumpers are pitted.
Chrome 15″ Cragar wheels are mounted with 205/70 General Altimax RT43 tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Work in May 2023 consisted of replacing the steering box and the power-steering pump.
The cabin has been redone, and it features front bucket seats and a rear bench reupholstered in black vinyl and complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Equipment includes air conditioning, a center console, vent windows, and lap belts for all occupants. The radio does not work. The air-conditioning system was recharged in May 2023.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer and a multifunction gauge. A Sunpro Super Tach II tachometer is mounted to the steering column. The factory tachometer does not work. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, approximately 200 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 360ci V8 was installed under prior ownership and is said to have been overbored .040″ and fitted with an Isky Racing camshaft, replacement pistons, and “J” cylinder heads. Additional equipment includes an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, electronic ignition, and tubular exhaust headers. The fuel tank and sending unit were reportedly replaced under previous ownership, and the starter solenoid was replaced in May 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 904 TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission and a 3.55:1 limited-slip differential. A dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers has been installed. Corrosion is visible on underbody components.
The fender tag indicates that the vehicle is a 1967 Barracuda hardtop coupe (BH23) equipped with a 273ci V8 featuring a two-barrel carburetor (31) along with a three-speed automatic transmission (5). The tag also reveals that the car was built on December 5 (C05), and it was originally finished in Buffed Silver Metallic (AA1) over blue vinyl upholstery (H6B) and was equipped with the Clean Air package (E1).
