This 1965 Plymouth Barracuda is a running and driving project car that is powered by a 225ci slant-six mated to a three-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in ivory over beige vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a curved rear window, chrome trim and bumpers, 14″ alloy wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, front bucket seats, and a fold-down rear seat. The car was acquired by the seller in 2022, and subsequent work involved replacing the interior upholstery, brake master cylinder, water pump, alternator, battery, and washer-fluid pump and reservoir. This Barracuda is now offered at no reserve with a broadcast sheet, spare and removed parts, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
Finished from the factory in Ivory (SS1), the car features a fastback roofline, a curved rear glass panel, Barracuda badges, chrome bumpers, and bright trim adorning the grille, window surrounds, rocker panels, and wheel arches. The seller notes previous touch-up work to the paint. Dents, corrosion, and wear around the body are pictured in the gallery below, and hail damage is noted on the hood panel. The washer-fluid pump and reservoir were replaced under current ownership.
Five-spoke 14″ Eagle Alloys wheels are mounted with 205/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires manufactured in 2022. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the brake master cylinder was replaced under current ownership.
Replacement beige vinyl upholstery was sourced from Legendary Auto Interiors and installed under current ownership. Additional details include a fold-down rear seat, a console-mounted gear selector, a heater, a Valiant Transaudio push-button AM radio, and front and rear lap belts. The headliner is sagging, and corrosion in the trunk compartment is shown in the gallery.
An aftermarket wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 19k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The seller notes that the speedometer needle jumps, and true mileage is unknown. The removed steering wheel is included in the sale.
The 225ci slant-six was fitted with a replacement water pump, alternator, and battery under current ownership and features a red valve cover and a black air-cleaner housing.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.
A broadcast sheet, a service manual, and receipts from current ownership will accompany the vehicle.
The Arizona title issued in September 2022 notes an odometer reading of 78,310 miles.
