VEHICLE STORY

This rust-free 1965 Plymouth Barracuda has been with the seller for 20 years and is powered by an upgraded and rebuilt 273ci V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. Features include an upgraded sound system with a DVD player, air conditioning, upgraded halo halogen headlights, manual windows, and manual brakes and steering. This off-white Barracuda with black stripes and a black vinyl interior is available now and comes with receipts and a clear Missouri title in the seller’s name.

The exterior was refinished in off-white approximately 15 years ago. Features include black stripes, chrome front and rear bumpers, chrome mirror caps, and upgraded halogen halo-style headlights. The seller notes the trim was re-chromed 15 years ago and the clearcoat is flaking in some areas.

A set of two-tone 20-inch wheels is wrapped in radial tires. The seller states that the tires are five years old.

The front bucket seats, rear seat, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include black carpet with black rubber floor mats, a black center console with a storage compartment and a floor-mounted automatic shifter, and manual windows, brakes, and steering. Additional features include air conditioning, an upgraded sound system with a DVD player, a rear-mounted subwoofer box, and an aftermarket steering wheel installed in 2021. The seller recommends replacing the front seat foam.

A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, temperature, and alternator are located in a silver panel ahead of the driver. The odometer shows 104,089 miles but the true mileage on the vehicle is unknown. According to the seller, there are 104K miles on the chassis, but fewer miles are on the engine.

Power is provided by an upgraded 273ci V8 engine that was rebuilt in 2021. It sends power to the road through an automatic transmission and the rear wheels. Underhood features include manual brakes and steering, chrome valve covers, an air conditioning compressor, a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner, a new aftermarket aluminum radiator, and three electric cooling fans.

This Barracuda is factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Stopping power is provided by manual drum brakes. According to the seller, the underbody is rust-free and has been undercoated. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be seen in the carousel to the right.

The seller will include receipts with the sale.
