This 1962 Triumph TR4 was refurbished under previous ownership and is finished in blue over red vinyl. Power is provided by a 2,138cc inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a black soft top, fender-mounted mirrors, 15″ steel wheels, Triumph-branded polished center caps, front disc brakes, a metal machine-turned dashboard, and dual SU carburetors. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2023, this TR4 is now offered in Florida with a red leather suitcase and an Illinois title.
The car is said to have been refinished in its current shade of blue under previous ownership. Exterior details include a black soft top, fender-mounted mirrors, a single polished exhaust outlet, and chrome bumpers with overriders. Pitting is present on the chrome bumpers, and close-up photos of the paint and trim are viewable in the gallery.
Steel 15″ wheels wear Triumph-branded center caps and are mounted with 165-series whitewall tires. A full-size spare tire is stored below the trunk floor. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The cabin was refreshed under previous ownership and features bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl with white piping accompanied by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Additional appointments include a white shift knob, a lockable glove compartment, a rear parcel shelf, door panel map pockets, and manual crank windows.
A banjo-style steering wheel with a Triumph-branded center cap frames a Jaeger tachometer and 120-mph speedometer. Gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage are mounted in the center of the metal machine-turned dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 33k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 2,138cc inline-four is equipped with a polished valve cover as well as a pair of SU carburetors. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
The engine stamping is shown above.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The factory commission plate is missing, and a tag showing body number 7359CT is riveted to the firewall on the passenger-side of the engine bay. The car is titled using the sequence 7359 prepended with “CT.” A digital copy of a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate as well as a redacted copy of the current Illinois title can be viewed in the gallery.
