1949 Oldsmobile 88

This 1949 Oldsmobile 88 was refurbished and modified in Idaho during the late-1990s and early-2000s, including installation of a 500ci Cadillac V8. Finished in a green Citroën color, the car has also been fitted with a TH350 automatic transmission, Lokar shifter, dual exhaust, and a tan interior. It was relocated to Ohio before being acquired by the current owner in 2016, and maintenance carried out since included a new brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes, rear axle bearings, and more as outlined in the listing below. This Oldsmobile is part of the single-owner collection currently being represented on the website by BaT regular Wob. It is sold at no reserve in New Jersey with refurbishment photos, service records from current ownership, and a clean Maryland title.

The 500ci Cadillac V8 is backed by a TH350 automatic transmission and equipped with a four-barrel Edelbrock carburetor and HEI distributor. The engine bay is finished in black Gravtex. Approximately $2,200 in servicing was performed just after the current owner’s acquisition, including an oil and filter change, coolant flush, installation of a remanufactured starter, and inspection of the belts and hoses.
