This 1929 DeSoto Model K roadster is finished in yellow and black over a brown interior, and was acquired by the current owner in 2016. Power is from a 175ci inline-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission, and the car is said to have undergone a refurbishment during prior ownership. Features include a tan folding soft top, a rumble seat, a rear-mounted spare tire carrier, and 19″ wood-spoke artillery-style wheels. This Model K roadster is now offered on behalf of the current owner in Washington State with a clean Montana title in the name of the owner’s LLC.
The body was refinished in yellow accented with black fenders, stripes, and running boards during previous ownership, and the current condition of the finish is captured in detail in the photo gallery below. Exterior accessories include driving lights, aftermarket turn signals, chrome bumpers, and a rear-mounted spare wheel and tire.
The tan soft top features a wood frame and glass rear window. The 19″ wood-spoke artillery wheels are mounted with Lester wide-whitewall tires. Braking is handled by mechanical drums at all four corners.
Inside, brown upholstery covers the bench seat, door panels, and kick panels. A storage pouch is integrated in the driver’s door panel, and a textured rubber mat lines the floor.
The rumble seat features matching upholstery and floor lining for the rear passengers.
The four-spoke steering wheel is covered in a perforated wrap, and the painted dashboard contains an instrument panel with a barrel-type speedometer and readouts for fuel level, amperage, and oil pressure. A Stewart-Warner temperature gauge is installed ahead of the steering wheel. Approximately 91k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer. Total mileage is unknown.
The 175ci inline-six was rated at 55 horsepower when new and is equipped with a single carburetor and a Silver Dome cylinder head. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission.
Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below showing the frame, driveline, and suspension system.
The car is titled by the serial number stamped on the engine, which reads BK50410.
